"Flow" is a series that circulates intuition between myself and every piece, it is an inhale and an exhale, a reciprocal exchange. I give it life through my intuition and in turn it strengthens and deepens my connection with it. Each piece is painted in reverse on plexiglass, and once the paint has been applied there is no possibility of modification. It is only after the final layer of paint that the piece is flipped over for me to see it from a viewer’s perspective. This process is a deliberate practice of surrendering, trusting, and embracing the mystery.
What emerges on the plexiglass are channeled frequencies within and around me - the energy of my emotions, feelings, thoughts, environment, or the music I’m listening to in those moments.
These frequencies could influence one another or stand alone. Perhaps, I am channeling the song’s frequencies or a fusion of the music and my feelings, which could have influenced each other one way or the other.
Every stroke happens spontaneously and intuitively, there is no strategizing or intellectualizing, only being. Being attuned to my intuition and the energies of the present moment.
Continually expanding “Flow” anchors me to the three intentions that are foundational to my way of being - to be fully present, guided only by intuition, and to make energetic choices.
FLOW
When the front of a piece is finally revealed to me, a wave of magic washes over me. It is exhilarating, overflowing with gratitude, and at times overwhelmingly powerful. They are not too rare yet not often enough moments when I feel proud of myself. Though it is not about the sense of accomplishment but rather the blind trust I have given myself and something beyond myself, it is seeing the outcome of creation that manifests when I am in tune with my intuition. It is that feeling of knowing the wonder I can co-create with life and Source when I completely free fall into the mystery and just trust. This is true not only in painting but in every facet of creation and interaction - in relationships, in every moment, every breath taken, every thought, every word spoken, every action taken and every choice made.
